That's right KA'S back and she's stolen #1 place! *Bootyshakes* Let me first say, no I am not in any way shape or form being biased. After a hell of a lot deliberation, the book I'm currently reading is all that came to mind. Picking a number #1 is one of the reasons I've left this so late, anything I tried to pick didn't have enough to be #1. I held off and decided to wait for R.L. Mathewson and KA to release their upcoming books, just to see if either of them were the one, otherwise I'd be kinda screwed.

So first up, yes I am aware I said currently reading, I'm almost finished minions I assure you. With that being said what I've read so far is nothing short of KA awesomeness! I'm a lover of shifter and vampire romances, so give me two in one and I am a swoontastic mess. Abel is the perfect alpha hero, in fact I think he might be my KA favourite, and that is definitely saying something. I also adore Lilah, she's a witty, sweet and incredibly endearing heroine, who is 100% without a doubt perfect for Abel. Their chemistry is just full of raw intensity that leaves you breathless, and their passion is freaking scorching! Oh and I just love the cultural element KA's implemented throughout the novel, it's really got me wanting to learn Mandarin. It's pure heaven being reunited with my favorite characters again, Lucien. Leah, Callum and Sonia who I've actually missed terribly minions. Of course as with any KA book, the writing style is flawless and she keeps you hooked on for every second. I work 45 hours a week people, so you can imagine my struggle to put this down and actually work, sleep, eat and just basically function as a human. I've been in love with the Three series from the very beginning, and my impatience for the final installment has been excruciating. But it's finally here on my Kindle, and I'm enjoying every damn second of it!

Yes I will most definitely be posting a long review soon, which will be on the Reviews page HERE, as well as on Goodreads. If you've yet to pick up this read, don't delay further people cause you will regret it. Or if you've missed the juicy deets then chill, cause I got your back peeps. Awesome cover and synopsis below, with buy links!

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake. Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up.  And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

It's Jamie McGuire stepping in and taking #2 with Beautiful Oblivion! *Happy dances*

It's hard to resist anything from the woman who brought us Travis Maddox, especially when she's giving us all the Maddox brothers one by one! *Squeals excitedly* I adore all the brothers, and have been super impatient for Trenton to get his HEA. Jamie does not disappoint minions. I really loved Cami and thought her perfect for Trenton, so I was pretty frustrated with this mystery boyfriend. I about passed out from shock when he's revealed, I mean way to knock the wind out of us Jamie. Trenton was of course perfect, and while I want to say he's my favourite I simply can't, my heart will forever belong to Travis minions. That being said Trenton was still a noteworthy hero, his character has a lot of depth and when he sets his mind to something he'll find a way to get it. The writing style was great, and I loved how the pace of the book always stayed steady, bracing us for the upcoming events that unfold towards the end. This is a definite recommend for everyone, but especially lovers of Beautiful Disaster.

Now I know I've written another short review, but don't worry minions once I'm back on my game, I'll hit you full force with long ass reviews! You'll find the review on the Reviews page HERE, as well as on Goodreads (soon). So if you've somehow missed all things Maddox, I have the stunning cover and blurb below for you to fawn over, woth buy links of course!

Picture
Fiercely independent Camille "Cami" Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.

Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.

Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.

As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever—even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.

Okay, okay I know I've been waaaay t0o quiet lately. But hey, you're getting the top 3 all in one go! Nashoda was always going to make my list, because since I sucked it up and read Torn from You I've been obsessed with her. I've always had an aversion to Dark Romances, and well Nash pretty much popped that cherry. I don't know what it was that made me pick it up, but I gave it a try and soon found I just could not put it down.

Torn from You is one hell of an emotional rollercoaster. By the end of it I felt wrecked, happy and a lot of other things. It's definitely a book that stuck out for me this year, and Nashoda is absolutely an author you want to take notice of. I broke another of my rules, and picked up the novella With You, which I'm sooo grateful for. Without it I don't think I would have understood Logan at all, and it really adds that extra dimenion to their relationship. Of course I wrote one of my in depth reviews, which can be found on the Reviews page HERE, as well as Goodreads.

Now if you've missed the awesomeness of the Tear Asunder series, then fear not minions for I have the intriguing cover and synopsis below, with buy links!

Picture
Love is like an avalanche. It hits hard, fast and without mercy.

At least it did for me when Sculpt, the lead singer of the rock band Tear Asunder knocked me off my feet. Literally, because he’s also a fighter, illegally of course, and he taught me how to fight. He also taught me how to love and I fell hard for him. I mean the guy could do sweet, when he wasn't doing bossy, and I like sweet.

Then it all shattered.

Kidnapped.
Starved.
Beaten.
I was alone and fighting to survive.
When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me.

I was wrong.

(It is highly recommended to read "With You" the novella first).

*Warning: This book contains some disturbing situations, strong language and sexual content. Over 18 years.*

Nashoda Rose is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Toronto with her assortment of pets. She writes contemporary romance with a splash of darkness, or maybe it’s a tidal wave.

When she isn't writing, she can be found sitting in a field reading with her dogs at her side while her horses graze nearby. She loves interacting with her readers and chatting about her addiction—books.

Of course I have some hoghlights from my review, with my reactions to this novel GIF style!
"My thoughts were so far from the truth I seriously think I need a bitch slap, Nashoda weaves a tale of the unimaginable becoming the extraordinary. It's definitely a unique love story, with gut wrenching trials and tribulations."
"Nashoda ensnares you from page one, you find yourself holding your breath as you turn the page, all your muscles tense up as difficult to witness scenes come up and you find your voice a little hoarse towards the end from all the screaming done in anger, frustration and joy."
"While twisted and in quite a few scenes extreme, there was a raw and intense emotion emanating from Sculpt where Emily was concerned. That emotion has you balanced on a precipice, and with each chapter you never know which way the winds going to blow, you either hate him and most likely dislike the book OR you like him and most likely love the book."
"Nashoda is definitely an author to keep an eye out for, and I can't wait to see what she gives us next. Her writing style flows effortlessly, keeping an even steady rhythm as the book progresses and everything's built up with just the right amount of emotion."
I was like this when I started...

A nice little taster for you to get you going...
“You look stunning.” I step towards her, running my index finger down her bare side. “I don’t know how I’m going to make it through the evening without killing every man who looks at you.” That’s not a lie, I think, tracing the edge of her breast.

“You didn’t pick this, did you?” she asks.
I lift my eyes to meet hers and shake my head.
“I can change.”

“No. You look...” I shake my head, trying to think of a way to describe her. “You look absolutely beautiful.”

Yes you've seen it right, Tillie has made the list twice! Totally unbiased people *holds hands up*. I have been in love with Tillie's work since Sweet Home, so it's only natural book two in Rome's POV makes the list. Now lucky you, I have my review for this one, because I was a part of the tour this year. You can find it on the Reviews page HERE, as well as on Goodreads. I have the fabulous cover and synopsis below, as well as buy links!

Picture
You met Romeo Prince in the Amazon & USA Today bestselling novel, Sweet Home. Now hear the story from his lips: unbarred, uncensored, and raw to the bone.

It makes me laugh when I hear folks think Molly and I rushed into things too fast, spouting that we couldn't possibly have felt what we did for each other in such a short space of time. I say, how the hell would they know? We made it, didn't we? She became my whole life, didn't she? And as for my folks not being real, being true? Tell that to me aged ten, eleven, twelve—damn, all my bastard life—when I was never enough, when I was beaten until I bled for being too good at football and not being everything they'd dreamed: the perfectly dutiful son. Tell that to thousands of kids around the world getting wailed on by asshole parents for whatever stupid reason; tell them evil don't exist in their eyes.

Fuck Romeo and Juliet. This is the story of me and my girl, from my lips. No mushy sentiment, no cheese, just the plain, hard truth, and, because I'm feeling generous, I'm going to let you in on more of our story too.

Tillie Cole is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother -- a farmer's daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.

Finally some review hoghlights for you, so you can get a sense of how much I loved this book. 'Cause saying I loved it doesn;t seem like enough...
"Hey Romeo Prince waits for no one, once you're in that's it. Fate sealed."
"As if Rome's pain wasn't portrayed enough in book one, Tillie illustrates beautifully the depth of his feelings for Molly, the hardships of his life and his fight to win, own and keep the woman he loves."
"It was just heartbreakingly beautiful. My emotions were all over the place, I cried, laughed, swooned and screamed bloody murder."
"The never before scenes illustrated the complexities of Rome's character, it wasn't as clear cut as we assumed from book one but rather a hell lot more complicated. Everything is gradually explained, keeping in rhythm with the pace Tillie sets and the steady flow of her writing captivating you until the end."

We've reached the halfway mark with L.A Casey! I adore this woman minions, no joke she's straight up awesome. I don't think I'll ever introduce an author I don't love obsessively to be honest. I fell in love with Dominic on the spot, it was so different from the usual NA reads, and the characters were hard to resist.

Now this was another recommendation from Amazon I ignored...for a while people....there comes a time where you just click on it and Goodreads that ish. Not only is it one of the Jungle's best reads, but L.A blew me away with her amazing characters. It's one of those books where I loved all the characters, and was excited for them to get their own story. I'll be honest I was nervous about the high school thing, I just didn't see the characters being all that...obviously I was wrong *blushes*. I adored Dominic and Bronagh, like to the extent I question why they're not in my life for real, 'cause I genuinely believe we could be homies. There were too many time to count when I wanted to punch Dominic, and I just did not see how he was ever going to win Bronagh around, but somehow he breaks through with not just her but us too minions. I can't tell you how much I loved Bronagh, she's the unconventional kickass heroine we all look for. Lee does an amazing job of illustrating the issues of bullying, resentment, jealousy and lust in high school wonderfully. There were many times I was like 'Damn Lee you so get me'. But more than that I like how she breaks away from the stereotypical alpha hero story line, there was drama, suspense, passion, amusement and just great book awesomeness people. The writing style's not for everyone, but she worked it well and had me 1-Clicking from reading page one. For her first novel I think she kicked it outta the park, and she's got me anxiously waiting for the Slater borthers to get their stories. I've never been so invested in almost every singel character, so that right there speaks volumes minions, you need to own this badboy plain and simple.

Yes I know what's coming, 'Another short review Alii?'. Yup I'm still running behind, and with the holidays approaching I am all over the place. But rest assured my long reviews are coming, don't you doubt it people. The link to said review will be on the Reviews page HERE, as well as on Goodreads so don't worry about it. So until that link goes live, I have the luscious cover and synopsis below, with buy links of course!

Picture
After a car accident killed her parents when she was a child, Bronagh Murphy chose to box herself off from people in an effort to keep herself from future hurt. If she doesn't befriend people, talk to them or acknowledge them in any way they leave her alone just like she wants.

When Dominic Slater enters her life, ignoring him is all she has to do to get his attention. Dominic is used to attention, and when he and his brothers move to Dublin, Ireland for family business, he gets nothing but attention. Attention from everyone except the beautiful brunette with a sharp tongue.

Dominic wants Bronagh and the only way he can get to her, is by dragging her from the boxed off corner she has herself trapped in the only way he knows how...by force.

Dominic wants her, and what Dominic wants, Dominic gets.

Okay so for those of you who've been with me from the beginning, you already know there was no way Kristen wasn't making this list. I have a lot of favorite authors, but Kristen will always be my number one. She not only kickstarted my Romance book binge, but fueled my ever growing reading addiction, and is one of the reasons I started blogging in the first place.

The woman has expanded into all my favorite genres, and one of my top series is the Unfinished Hero series. This is where I first learnt of the Anti-Hero, and what set the tone in some ways for my expectations of unconventional reads. I absolutely adored Deacon! From what we learn of him from the previous books, I was, I'll admit, a little hesistant with his story because I didn't know how a woman could break through with him. Boy, was I wrong. Cassie was the perfect match for him, she challenged him, gave him hope, showed him the beauty the world has to offer and above all she loved him. Dark past and all. As with any KA book, she delivers a dark, mysterious and endearing alpha male that makes us go gaga...among other things  *winks*, as well as a sweet, witty and bawss ass heroine. The one thing I love about this series the most is that there's always a lesson to be learnt, it's not simply about the Hero and Heroine falling in love, overcoming obstacles and having a HEA. Far from it minions. For Deacon it was about new beginnings, second chances and in a sense forgiveness.

I know I've written another mini review, but don't get used to it people, this is purely because late night shifts are kicking my ass. But my full essay like reviews are coming...soon...really soon...definitely before the month is out *bats lashes*. Until I post the link for it on the Reviews page HERE, you can take this time to check out the cover and blurby blurb below, with buy links of course in case you've been living under a rock or something...

Picture
Deacon has an ugly history, a history that broke him, leaving him a ghost of a man. Out of necessity, he left the normal world to descend into the criminal world and found he fit. So he stayed. Cold as ice and living off the grid, Deacon has no intention to connect, not with anyone.

Then he returns to some remote cabins in the Colorado Mountains and finds they have new owners. One of them is Cassidy Swallow, a young woman willing to work hard to live her quiet dream in a house by a river surrounded by aspen and pine.

Suddenly, Deacon finds he’s at war. Cassidy’s pull for him to connect is strong. He fights it, but he loses, always coming back for more. But when he does, he gives her nothing.

From the first time she sees him, Cassidy knows Deacon is dead inside. She knows he’s the kind of man who could destroy a woman. But one night when Deacon’s control slips, Cassidy takes a chance.

He might break her. He also might be her dream come true.

Almost halfway there! I am super excited to introduce Jungle newbie, the one and only Sarah Brianne! *Throws confetti*

Words cannot descirbe how much I love this woman. I came across her by chance, through constant amazon recommendations and...and I'm so mad at myslef for ignoring her so long. It's rare to find a debut author who really knows how to sock you in the gut, and have you hanging on by a thread waiting for the next book, and damn if Sarah doesn't achieve all that and more.

I adored Nero. Like I want to be there minions. Why?! Why isn't it real?! *Sobs hysterically* Nero was so dangerously awesome, and oh my gosh Elle! Sweet, wonderful Elle! It is one of the best NA Romances I have read this year, and that is saying a lot people when you factor in my issues. First up the high school thing bothered me, NA tends to lean towards college, however that issue went away in like 0.5 seconds of reading the first chapter. It not only worked, but it kicked ass.  On top of that I thought we'd be dealing with wannabe badboys...oh minions...these are men we're dealing with. Make no mistake. Also the mafia thing worried me...a lot...until Sarah just illustrated how stupid I was to doubt her. She worked that angle exceptionally well, with a great writing style and awesome character construction. Nero and Elle's story was one of hope, redemption, passion and survival. I loved every freaking second of it. You need to get 1-Clicking minions, because I promise you, you will have no regrets!

So this is the part where I give you the link to my full review...alas I am still running behind *ducks head* BUT I'm hooping to have it live tomorrow. There's no way I'm not going in depth on my love for Nero, and the fabulous Sarah Brianne. I also realise I constantly point out I am incapable of writing a short review, and yet I kinda just did one... You're still getting the long one *winks*. That all being said, if you haven't yet heard of Nero, which is the first in the Made Men series, I have the luscious cover and synopsis below, with buy links!

Picture
Nero is the king of Legacy Prep, living a life of power.

Elle is the school’s punching bag, living a life of fear.

The only good girls Nero knows jump in his bed when he tells them to.

The closest Elle has come to a bad boy like him is in the cafeteria line.

The mob boss gave him orders to find out what she knows.

Her mouth is sealed.

I just want to be a fuckng made man.

I’m just a fucking waitress.

I also have a bio and links so you can join me in my stalking, and maybe even help with my grand kidnap plan. I get Vincent's story and she is free to go people...
Hey! My name is Sarah Brianne and after living for twenty-two years the characters in my head told me enough was enough and I have finally put pen to paper (or is it finger to keyboard?) to tell their stories. Since I was a little girl I have watched every chick flick I could get my hands on, then when I became older I discovered a whole new world of romance novels. To me there is nothing better then a tale of true love and those are the stories that have inspired me to write. Like everything else in my life I have put my own spin on two lovers destined to be together.

Next to my books my prized possession are my two beautiful fur babies, Kalypso and Khaleesi. I know what your thinking, do you pack them in your purse? Yep, right next to my kindle.
